Chelsea are preparing for a new era under Xabi Alonso and are already planning for the summer transfer window, preparing a player-plus-cash deal to sign a Crystal Palace star.
It's been a difficult season for Chelsea as they sit in eighth position heading into the final weekend of the Premier League campaign.
Alonso's side, currently managed by Calum McFarlane, are unable to qualify for Champions League football, but they could finish in the Europa League places.
There's no doubt they need reinforcements in the summer transfer window. They could look to bring in some more ready-made players after focusing heavily on signing young talents over the last few years.
Although the Blues have brought in a host of players with huge potential, they need some additions who can make an immediate impact if they want to head back in the right direction.

Chelsea Eyeing Crystal Palace Swap Deal

According to a report from Sports Boom, Chelsea are plotting a potential £35m bid to sign Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report claims that Chelsea could also offer Tosin Adarabioyo as part of the move in a player-plus-cash swap deal.
Lacroix, who has been described as 'outstanding' by Oliver Glasner, is open to making the move to Chelsea in the summer, as he believes it will help him become more of a prominent figure in the French national team.
The Palace centre-back has taken his game to the next level since Marc Guehi made the move to Manchester City, prompting interest from Chelsea.
Palace are hoping to tie Lacroix down to a new contract and are looking to demand in the region of £52m to allow him to depart.
Tosin Could Sweeten Deal for Crystal Palace

It is unclear whether offering Tosin as part of the deal would tempt Palace into lowering their asking price for Lacroix ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Eagles have a strong hand in negotiations, with the French defender under contract until 2029 at the moment.
Palace have done well in recent years to replace their outgoing stars with their recruitment model of buying low and selling high.
Lacroix made the move to Selhurst Park for a fee of just under £16m, so it would certainly be a huge profit even if they accepted an offer of £35m plus Tosin.
