Stories abound today linking West Ham United’s [Jarrod Bowen](https://www.claretandhugh.info/why-bowen-sentiment-may-count-for-nothing-in-west-hams-brutal-summer-clear-out/) with moves to **Everton, Manchester United, Chelsea** and further reports concerning **Newcastle United:** It seems even before the season finale on Sunday the Hammers captain has found himself the subject of boardroom discussion from several sides anxious to grab his signature should West Ham fail in their bid to survive relegation.
Surprisingly nothing new regarding **Liverpool** in reports this week – despite Mo Salah’s imminent departure it seems all is quiet on the rumour mill on that front with the Reds’ hierarchy reportedly looking at younger players.
However it seems that many of the claims made are somewhat premature. In view of the reports suggesting half of the Premeir League’s elite were interested in Bowen, we asked our own transfer source- outside the club but close to several West Ham players – if there was any fact behind the media hype:
_“No one has made any enquiry: While the club are in a relegation fight no club would ever dare even make a call”_
News stories they maybe: But concrete talks or discussions haven’t taken place between clubs or, as far as we can establish, between agents and clubs. Bowen is in the middle of – by his own admission – _“the most important week in his career”_ preparing to lead the Hammers out in a do or die fixture against Leeds on Sunday and with the England World Cup squad also due to be announced this week.
The last thing he or West Ham need is the distraction of transfer talk: There’ll be plenty of time to deal with that next week once the season has concluded. _And especially once Tottenham have been sentenced to last-day heartache and relegation in West Ham’s stead – hopefully by a couple of Bowen specials._
