Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal on Wednesday organised a farewell dinner, ahead of his imminent departure from Spain’s capital.
Manager Álvaro Arbeloa, however, was not on the list of those invited to the meal…
Veteran full-back Carvajal is of course all set to bring a close to his trophy-laden stint on the books of Real Madrid this summer.
Now 34, the Spaniard was not afforded an extension proposal, ahead of the upcoming expiration of his contract terms.
As a tumultuous campaign at Valdebebas inches towards a close, Carvajal therefore invited his teammates out for a group meal on Wednesday evening.
A number of staff members were also requested to join.
As alluded to above, though, not amongst those asked to attend was Blancos headmaster Álvaro Arbeloa.
Amid the understanding that the relationship between the pair is far from the best, Carvajal, as per The Athletic, opted against including his interim manager in his farewell festivities.
