Dembele is not risking his fitness.
William Saliba will be key in the Champions League final.
It would be a shame for football fans around the world if Ousmane Dembele is ruled out of the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.
Dembele suffered an injury against Paris FC and had to be substituted during PSG’s final Ligue 1 game of the 2025/2026 season.
The reigning Ballon d’Or winner is one of the best players in the world and an event like the Champions League final needs superstars like him to be fit and firing.
With PSG winning Ligue 1 with one game to spare, perhaps Luis Enrique would be regretting his decision to start the former Barcelona forward on matchday 34. However, the man himself has provided an injury update ahead of the much-awaited contest.

Speaking to RMC Sport, Dembele confirmed that he will be fit to face Arsenal and hopes to be on the pitch by the time PSG line up in the Hungarian capital.
“I’m doing very well. I had a slight scare against Paris FC, but I’m fine and I’ll be ready for the final. Will I be 100% for the final? Yes, yes, I think so, yes, I’ll be ready. I have no doubt about it, I hope to be on the pitch on May 30th.”
Considering the importance of PSG’s clash against Arsenal, Dembele has revealed that he will not be risking his fitness whatsoever. The 29-year-old has scored and assisted once apiece against the Gunners.

William Saliba will have to be at his best against Ousmane Dembele
Players like Dembele are nigh-on impossible to tame for 90 minutes and Arsenal will have to hope that he is not firing on all cylinders for PSG in the final.
However, one man who could make life easier for Mikel Arteta’s side is William Saliba, having faced his countryman in France training numerous times.
With Saliba having yet another stellar season and arguably being the best centre-back in the world, all eyes will be on him to see how he deals with the World Cup winner.
