EasyJet Plc, Europe's second-biggest discount airline, plans to offer passengers allocated seating starting next month in a trial that takes the carrier further away from its no-frills heritage

An Arsenal fan has praised easyJet cabin crew staff after he was desperate learn the fate of his team's Premier League title rivals, Manchester City mid-flight. Passenger Aamir was airborne while City were playing at Bournemouth - a game they had to win to avoid handing the Gunners their first championship since 2004.
Unable to use his mobile phone to check the score, instead Aamir sought help from easyJet employees, who soon came to his aid. "Shoutout the staff on easyJet flight 8746 into Gatwick last night," he began in a post. "I asked if there was any way I could find out the City result during the flight and they came through. Champions."
Indeed, second-placed Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium, meaning Arsenal's - and Aamir's celebrations could begin as Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions.
He shared an image of a printout from the easyJet crew adding that he was at 35,000 with no WIFI when he received a printout from an easyJet Operations Senior, named Ryan.
"Hello, Chelsea is currently 2-1 vs Spurs, 15 mins left," it read.
As for the all important part, the note continued: "City game ended 1-1 meaning Arsenal Champions. Cheers."
Aamir later posted a follow-up snap, meanwhile, revealing he's displayed the printed note in a frame to mark the occasion.
"That's some dedication to customer service," one X user declared in response. "Dare I say, above and beyond."
A second person was equally as impressed with easyJet, penning: "As customer service goes on no frills airlines that's actually incredible!"
A third quipped: "easyJet customer service casually delivering life-changing information at 35,000 feet."
While a fourth X user praised: "And... I just became an easyJet customer again. See, whoever Ryan is... just opened the door to a giant customer base with a bit of top customer service. This is ridiculous, and amazing!"
As for his mini photo frame idea, one of Aamir's followers told him he could be onto something in the merchandise world.
"You should probably patent this, get it on a production line quickly and market it to Arsenal fans," they exclaimed.
"There’s an opportunity for you to make thousands out of this."
