Arsenal have funds available for one 'marquee' signing this summer, according to The Guardian.
The Gunners have won the Premier League title and will be aiming to complete a double when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final later this month.
Mikel Arteta's side clinched the title with a game to spare as rivals Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Arsenal spent £250m last summer to bolster their squad, with that recruitment helping them get over the line to finally end their 22-year wait for another league title.
They are unlikely to spend a similar amount when the transfer window opens again but there is scope to make one big signing with the club now out to defend their crown next season.

The Guardian reports that Bournemouth youngster Eli Junior Kroupi is on Arsenal's list of targets for the summer.
He has enjoyed an impressive first season in the Premier League and has broken the record for most goals scored by a teenager in his debut campaign.
The record-breaking 13th goal came on Tuesday night as he scored against Man City to help the Gunners clinch the title. The record had previously been held by Robbie Keane and Robbie Fowler.
The Cherries value Kroupi at around £80m, and he is also on the radar of Real Madrid and Chelsea. The pair have scouted the player, who will turn 20 next month, as interest grows in the versatile youngster.
He can play on the left-wing and through the middle, with the Gunners viewing him as an option for the left flank but they feel he can also challenge Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyökeres for a central role.

It is no surprise that Kroupi's debut season with Bournemouth has resulted in attention from some of the biggest clubs in world football.
The 'elite finisher' has scored twice against Arsenal this season, once in a 3-2 loss in January while he netted in the Cherries' 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium back in April.
Following the defeat to Arsenal, Bournemouth player Marcus Tavernier was keen to hail the impact of Kroupi.
“I’ve said before, Junior is a generational talent,” said Tavernier. “The club has done an amazing job to pick Kroupi up.
“That boy has an unbelievable future ahead of him and today he showed why he’s such a good talent in the world of football.”
That defeat was the last time Bournemouth lost a game in the Premier League, with Kroupi's form helping the Cherries secure European football for next season.
