Fresh reports have claimed José Mourinho has already drawn up a shortlist of players he would like to sign if he becomes the next manager of Real Madrid.
Among the names reportedly admired by Mourinho is Florian Wirtz — a player whose future at Liverpool is suddenly becoming a fascinating debate after a difficult and underwhelming first season at Anfield.

And while Real Madrid links always attract attention, the bigger question for Liverpool supporters may actually be this:
Should Liverpool even consider selling Wirtz already?
There is no doubt expectations around Wirtz were enormous.

Technically brilliant.
Creative.
Elegant on the ball.
And viewed by many as a future superstar.
But the reality of his first season at Liverpool has been far more complicated.
