Joe Cole drops worrying Chelsea transfer prediction after‘noise coming out of BlueCo’

Following recent behind-the-scenes whispers regarding BlueCo’s summer strategy, Joe Cole has made a concerning prediction that Chelsea may have to sanction a blockbuster departure.

BlueCo’s rumoured shift in strategy signals a fascinating evolution at Chelsea, moving away from purely targeting raw youth to prioritise two or three ready-made players for new manager Xabi Alonso.

However, there could be some movement this summer with the prospect of missing out on European football, with Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Joao Pedro under the spotlight.

While Palmer and Caicedo are likely to remain the foundation of the project, Fernandez has continually been linked with major European suitors, and Joao Pedro is attracting heavy interest from Barcelona.

Are you taking Thiago Silva back at Chelsea? If so, in what capacity?🤔

Joe Cole reckons a star name will leave Chelsea this summer

When speaking on the Dressing Room podcast, Joe Cole was quick to point out that either Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Joao Pedro or Enzo Fernandez could be sold.

His reason was the recent rumour that BlueCo are changing up their strategy.

“The noise coming out of BlueCo is that they will tweak it round, but for me that means that you’re gonna have to sell one of Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, maybe Joao Pedro or Caicedo.”

Where will Chelsea be in the table by 6pm on Sunday afternoon?😬

The most likely to leave Chelsea this summer

Despite not being on the list mentioned by Joe Cole, Marc Cucurella stands out as the most likely big-name departure from Stamford Bridge this summer.

While new manager Xabi Alonso highly values Cucurella’s leadership, Chelsea’s hierarchy is ready to absolutely sell him to capitalise on his market value.

With Atletico Madrid aggressively pushing for a deal and Manchester City lurking, the board looks poised to sanction his exit over indispensable assets like Cole Palmer.
