£80M Rated French Ace Is A 'Target' For Arsenal As They Seek To Build On Premier League Title Triumph

Arsenal are interested in signing Bournemouth forward Junior Kroupi, according to reports.

The Frenchman had a hand in securing the Gunners the Premier League title, by scoring Bournemouth’s opener in the 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Tuesday night.

That goal was also personally significant for Kroupi, who now holds the record for the highest scoring teenager in Premier League history – 13.

The 19-year-old’s reputation is growing fast, and The Guardian have named him as a potential summer “target” for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Kroupi won’t be available on the cheap

The striker joined the Cherries at the beginning of 2025 for £10m, before being loaned back to Lorient for the second half of last season.

Kroupi moved to England last summer, and his first year in the Premier League could not have gone better, to the point that the Gunners, as well as Chelsea and Real Madrid, are keeping close tabs on his progress.

Bournemouth are said to be very much aware of the interest from rivals, and it is believed that they will only consider selling him for £80m.

Where would the forward play in Arsenal’s team?

The Guardian have suggested that Kroupi could be deployed on the left flank initially, which does suggest that he could be lined up to replace either Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard, with both wingers tipped to leave the Premier League champions at the end of the campaign.

Kroupi is usually deployed as a striker, so there is also a chance that he is being targeted as competition for Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz.

Gabriel Jesus has pretty much confirmed that he will be departing the Emirates over the coming weeks, so there will soon be room for another no.9.
