A favour from David

David Moyes has admitted that he would "love" to send Tottenham spiralling into the Championship this Sunday when his Everton team visits White Hart Lane.

The former Hammers boss, the club's only manager to win a major trophy on foreign soil admitted that he still holds a torch for the Hammers, despite not being offered a new contract by the board two years ago.

And Conference League winner Moyes confirmed that he would be delighted to play a role in ensuring the Hammers retina their Premier League position beyond Sunday.

Addressing the media on Friday lunchtime ahead of the final game of the 2025/26 campaign, Moyes - in response to a question regarding his affiliation with West Ham - said: "I would love to keep West Ham in the league if I can do, but it is more important I get Everton that top-half finish.

"Whether it will only be a top-half finish or whether it be something else you never know, we're going to go there and try to win it. I don't see it any other way. I'm not turning up with a team of kids to see what they can do. They've had that opportunity to show me if I think they're ready or not."

And Moyes is keen to end the season with a bang with Everton having failed to secure victory in their last five Premier League outings. " We haven't got to win one of the games to stay up, we've not got that situation so that's a good thing," he added. "But I think there's a cloud hanging over me at the moment. We've not finished the last six games well enough."

Tottenham v Everton kicks off a4.30pm on Sunday, at the same time as all Premier League fixtures this weekend. You may view Moyes' full press conference below.
