John Terry predicts whether Chelsea will qualify for Europe in their final league game vs Sunderland

Chelsea need to win on the final day of the Premier League season to secure a place in European competition next season, and John Terry believes they will get over the line.

A nightmare run of form under Liam Rosenior has contributed to the Blues being unable to qualify for the Champions League this season.

The Blues can guarantee a place in the Conference League with a victory on Sunday, and could climb into the Europa League spots with other results going their way.

Where will Chelsea be in the table by 6pm on Sunday afternoon?😬

7th and 8th are the European places!

John Terry thinks Chelsea will beat Sunderland and qualify for Europe

Chelsea were defeated by Sunday’s opponents, Sunderland, at Stamford Bridge this season, the game where Alejandro Garnacho scored his only league goal for the club so far.

The Black Cats have been very good at home since returning to the top flight, and still have a chance themselves of qualifying for Europe next season.

Despite this, John Terry believes that the Blues will take three points away from the North East, confirming their place in Europe next season.

He said on his TikTok: “Sunderland vs Chelsea, where we have to win, and have to finish the season well. I’m going to go 0-2, Chelsea winning this one.”

The Blues have snapped their run of defeats in the Premier League with a draw against Liverpool, followed by their usual victory against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.

If Chelsea have to sell this summer, which ONE are you sacrificing?🤔

Chelsea fitness update ahead of Sunderland clash

Calum McFarlane admitted that it was positive signs for both Levi Colwill and Joao Pedro to return to the Chelsea side for their clash with Sunderland.

Neither were in the squad to face Tottenham on Tuesday, and both will be out to make a statement after being left out of their country’s World Cup squads.

There will be no Estevao Willian in the squad for the final game of the season, after his own injury woes have ruled him out of action for the World Cup with Brazil.

Chelsea are hopeful Estevao will be back for the upcoming pre-season campaign with the Blues where Xabi Alonso will be working with the first team squad.
