Ashton Scally is the talk of the town at Rangers right now.
After the disappointing end to the Scottish Premiership season at Ibrox, all eyes are already on the future after the 5-2 final-day victory over Falkirk.
Danny Rohl proved that by handing Scally, as well as Aiden McCallion, senior minutes off the bench for their official debuts at the time.
It was only weeks after Scally had signed his first professional contract at Ibrox following his 16th birthday, with big things already predicted.
Despite Manchester City, Liverpool and Spurs having interest, he’s set to remain in the Rangers blue.

That is why it’s no surprise that the talk in England before his first professional contract in Govan was that he was heading to Man City.

Scally and Rangers won’t want to rush the decision, but as the old saying goes, if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.

Dujon Sterling can also play on the left, but with James Tavernier emotionally moving on this summer, he will be first-choice on the right.
That may also mean that transfer attention is closer paid to that side, meaning Scally may be even more likely to be included as a first-team regular at Ibrox.
Rangers need more local pride in their spine, and Scally could provide exactly that for many more years to come in Govan.
If he’s the next Robertson, that’s only a bonus.
