Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri will join up with the England senior squad for their World Cup preparation camp in the United States, the FA have [announced](https://www.englandfootball.com/articles/2026/May/22/young-england-talents-to-join-three-lions-in-florida).
Nwaneri is one of four players who aren’t in the World Cup squad who will be training with the team – with Rio Ngumoha, Alex Scott and Josh King the others who have been called upon.
This week Nwaneri, 19, returned to Arsenal following a frustrating loan spell at Marseille during the second half of the season.
While in France Nwaneri made eleven appearances and scored two goals, while he also provided an assist.
On the international stage he has scored five goals in 15 caps for England U21s and has previously featured at U19, U17 and U16 levels.
Nwaneri’s involvement with the England senior squad comes as the Three Lions will be without Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, who will be with Arsenal ahead of next weekend’s Champions final against Paris Saint-Germain.
