The Brazilian has a year left on his contract at the Emirates, and he is expected to be sold over the coming weeks. There has been constant speculation about a move back to his homeland, and when asked by ESPN Brasil about the prospect of playing for Palmeiras again, he said:
“I think about it every day, I follow it. I watched yesterday’s game, unfortunately lost [to Cerro Porteno]. It’s my dream, I’ve already made it clear that one day I’ll come back, I just don’t know when, if it’s today, tomorrow, so I think every day.”
“The future to God belongs; it’s a club that I have a lot of affection. I’m a passionate fan, I’ve said a lot, and my option when I return to Brazil will always be Palmeiras.”
Jesus will have other suitors
Reports in Brazil have suggested that the 29-year-old may well stay in Europe a little longer before ending his career at Palmeiras.
Juventus and AC Milan are both long-term suitors, but it has recently been claimed that Jesus could make a shock switch to Barcelona.
Robert Lewandowski is set to leave the Camp Nou when his contract expires at the end of next month, and the La Liga champions are looking at potential replacements.

Arsenal are set for a clear-out
Despite securing the Premier League title, there are likely to be significant changes to the Gunners’ squad between now and the start of next season.
In addition to Jesus, the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White, and even Myles Lewis-Skelly could leave if the right offers arrive.
