One thing that we’re certain Xabi Alonso will want to do this summer at Chelsea is strengthen the midfield.
The new boss has Moises Caicedo as his established starter, but none of Andrey Santos, Romeo Lavia or Dario Essugo has emerged as a perfect partner just yet. It’s not surprise to see rising English star Alex Scott linked with the Blues by TeamTalk today.

“Chelsea are stepping up their background work on Bournemouth star Alex Scott,” they open.
“Sources indicate Chelsea scouts and recruitment staff have watched Scott closely in recent weeks and internal discussions around the midfielder have intensified ahead of the summer window.”
They go on to explain in detail why the ball carrying, energetic 22 year old could be a perfect tactical makeweight for Caicedo.
One of those “background checks” might end up revealing that Scott is from a family of Tottenham fans, which would make signing him all the more enjoyable. It would be just a reward for Conor Gallagher going the other way…
