Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has quite an intriguing update on a player he has already announced the ‘here we go’ for.
Over the weekend, Romano reported the here we go done deal for Chelsea to sign Valentin Barco from Strasbourg. However, in his latest updates, Romano makes it seem like Barco might not actually stay at Chelsea.

Barco was playing for the other Blueco club last season of course, but now he’s made the step up to Chelsea. He’s a very good talent, but many Chelsea fans have been questioning his height and physicality in the Premier League, especially when these are two things that we keep hearing the club want to add to their squad this summer.
Also, we have a new manager now, who gets a real say on things. And the Barco signing was agreed before Xabi Alonso was agreed, so maybe he doesn’t fancy him?

Speaking via his latest YouTube updates, Romano said:
“Valentin Barco had an opportunity to join an important German club, but he decided to join Chelsea and trust the BlueCo way. Xabi Alonso will be important to decide who comes in and out, Barco was something decided before Alonso came in. Let’s see what they decide to do with him.”
