All you need to know about 2026/27 Premier League fixture announcement:

Official Announcement Date: The Premier League has confirmed the full fixture list for the 2026/27 season will be revealed on June 19 via its official website and app. This date follows the established trend of releasing the schedule in mid-June, roughly three to four weeks after the conclusion of the previous season.

Announcement Time: The entire schedule will be made available simultaneously on the official Premier League website at 10am. Supporters can also access the full layout directly through the league’s official mobile application.

Recurring Scheduling Patterns: Historically, the league releases fixtures on a weekday morning, usually a Thursday or Friday, to allow broadcasters like Sky Sports and TNT Sports to begin their selection process. You can expect the first batch of televised match changes to be announced shortly after the initial release, typically by early July.

Impact of the 2026 FIFA World Cup: The 2026/27 season will start one week later than usual (August 22) to account for player recovery following the FIFA World Cup 2026 final in July. This adjustment ensures an 89-day break from the end of the previous domestic season, prioritising player welfare in an increasingly congested calendar.

Congestion Management: The schedule will feature 33 weekend rounds and five midweek rounds, purposefully designed to avoid clashes with expanded UEFA club competition dates. Additionally, a "60-hour rule" remains in place for the festive period, ensuring no team plays two matches within 60 hours of each other during Christmas and New Year.

Gunners Defending: Arsenal will come into the new campaign as defending champions for the first time in 22 years. What's more, Mikel Arteta won't have to go up against his old mentor, Pep Guardiola. after the Manchester City icon called time on his decade-long stay at the Etihad.

Broadcast and Final Day Logistics: As is tradition, all ten matches on the final day of the season (May 30, 2027) will kick off simultaneously at 4pm to maintain competitive integrity. The season is also timed to conclude exactly one week before the UEFA Champions League final, which is scheduled for June 5, 2027.

Change for new season: A major update accompanying the fixture drop will be the historic league-wide ban on gambling brands appearing as front-of-shirt sponsors. While these betting companies can still feature on sleeves and training gear, clubs will be banned from front-of-shirt sponsorship in the new season.
