Arsenal may be looking at replacing Martinelli in the summer
Gabriel Martinelli has starred for Arsenal at various points throughout the 2025/26 season, particularly with his performances in the Champions League, but the Brazilian has also remained an influential figure in the Premier League.
Martinelli has been with Arsenal since 2019, having joined from Ituano in the Brazilian lower leagues and quickly making his impact in North London at a young age.
His best season came in the 2022/23 campaign, where he scored 15 league goals in 36 games—but ultimately Arsenal ended the season in second behind Manchester City.
The Gunners finished as runners-up in the league table in the two seasons following that, but after seven years with Arsenal, Martinelli is now finally a league champion.

Gabriel Martinelli is delighted that Arsenal is ‘back where it belongs’ after title celebrations
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Gabriel Martinelli thanked all involved with Arsenal in getting the club to their fourth title of the Premier League era.
The Brazilian’s message reads as follows:
“After almost seven years at this club, it’s hard to put into words what this moment means to me.
I arrived at this club when I was 18 years old. Far from home, barely speaking the language, trying to adapt to a completely new culture, new life and chasing a dream that felt so big at the time.
I didn’t know exactly what the future would hold, but I knew I wanted to give everything for this club.
We didn’t just build a team, we built a family, an identity, and something the fans could believe in again. To see this club back where it belongs is one of the proudest moments of my career.
I want to thank my family, thank everyone at the club, the staff, my teammates, and every person working behind the scenes. Most importantly, thank you to the fans. Your support, patience and love throughout these years never went unnoticed. You stayed with us through the difficult moments, and this title belongs to you as much as anyone.
This club changed my life. I will always be grateful for the privilege of wearing this shirt.
PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!”

Arsenal’s number 11 scored 11 goals in 52 games in all competitions this season, and while he has been a frequent starter in the Premier League, his numbers sit at a fairly unimpressive one goal and four assists in 30 league games.
However, that one goal was a crucial goal at home against Manchester City earlier in the year, which gave Arsenal enough of a gap over Manchester City in the later half of the season to see off their title rivals in the grand scheme of the campaign.
Will Gabriel Martinelli leave Arsenal in the summer?
It has been rumoured that, despite his success in Europe this season that has seen him score six goals in 13 games, Arsenal may be looking at offloading Martinelli in the summer.
The club are reportedly tempted by a plethora of attackers including Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, which could see either Martinelli or fellow left-winger Leandro Trossard being faced with a move away from the Emirates.
