Manchester City says goodbye to Pep Guardiola and celebrates achievements

ITV Granada Report's Mike Hall was on the parade route.

Manchester City have celebrated success by their men's, women's and academy sides - and given long-term manager Pep Guardiola an emotional farewell.

Celebrations kicked off with an open-top bus parade in Manchester's Northern Quarter, ending at the Etihad Stadium, before the after-party at the Co-op Live Arena.

Pep Guardiola’s side secured a historic domestic cup double, even though they narrowly missed out on the Premier League title - finishing second behind Arsenal.

City's Women had a historic, record-breaking season under manager Andrée Jeglertz. They were crowned Super League champions for the first time in exactly a decade.

Meanwhile, the youth and academy teams clinched two major honours this season: the FA Youth Cup and under-18 Premier League North.

The parade will be Pep Guardiola's last, after a decade-long reign at City.

He has enjoyed one of the most successful managerial spells in English football history, having won 20 trophies, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League.

Fans said the celebrations have been met with mixed emotions.
