One Spanish reporter has made some big claims on Chelsea star Marc Cucurella this week as transfer season heats up.
It’s been clear to me for some time that it looks like Cucurella is going to be leaving Chelsea during this summer’s transfer window. His heart has just not seemed in it any more, he has two years left on his contract at Chelsea, so they will want to sell him as well if he’s not signing an extension, and he is one of the older players now at the club. There’s been many rumours linking Cucurella with a move away, and he has also spoken publicly against Chelsea recently, criticising the project.

So for me, all signs point towards a Cucurella Chelsea exit this transfer window, and we all know he has a desire to return to Spain at some point.
Many of us felt that he would like to go back to his childhood club, Barcelona. But apparently that does not look like happening.

As cited on X, reliable Barcelona insider Gerard Romero says:
“Honestly, I see it [Cucurella going to Barcelona] now as pretty cold. At Barcelona, the feeling is that Cucurella is going to Atletico [Madrid].”
