Arsenal and PSG’s head-to-head record.

It is the best possible time to be an Arsenal fan as Mikel Arteta’s side stand on the precipice of winning the double, with Paris Saint-Germain awaiting them in the Champions League final.

Ahead of Arsenal’s contest against PSG, most fans and pundits alike would likely fancy Luis Enrique and Co to go all the way as firstly, they are the reigning champions of Europe.

Secondly, the manner in which the Parisians beat Liverpool and Bayern Munich in the knockout rounds were examples of the Ligue 1 side arguably still being the best team in the world.

Mikel Arteta backs Arsenal to trounce PSG and now, Theo Walcott has given his two cents on the game.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Walcott stressed how important it is for Arsenal to stay in the contest against PSG in the first 15 minutes.

“I do think there’s that freedom element, little bit of relief [after winning the Premier League]. There’ll always be the doubters but I just feel we need to stay in the game.

“In the first 15 minutes, the previous games they played, last year in the semi-final, they lost in the first 15 in both legs by not taking their chances.”

However, Theo Walcott believes his former club will come out on top and if Arsenal beat PSG, this current side will automatically go down as the greatest in the Gunners’ history.

“It’s a different outlet now, this Arsenal team, different kind of mold and I expect it to be quite exciting, to be fair, I really do.

“But I think I fancy us, definitely.”
