**Arsenal will be playing one of the biggest games in the club’s history this weekend.**
The Premier League title win has somewhat overshadowed the build-up to the Champions League final against [**Paris Saint-Germain**](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-vs-paris-saint-germain-combined-xi/), which is to be expected.
However, with just days to go before kick-off in Budapest, we thought it would be interesting to look through the stats to look for some good omens ahead of the match.
There is no doubt that Mikel Arteta’s side are more than deserving of their place in the final if we look at the numbers.
Arsenal’s form in the Champions League has been outstanding
-----------------------------------------------------------
* The Gunners are currently on the longest unbeaten run in European Cup/Champions League history – 11 wins and 3 draws.
* 14 games is also the longest any team has gone unbeaten in any single edition of the tournament.
* Their nine clean sheets in this season’s competition is just one short of the tournament record. Arsenal actually set the record (10) when they last made the final back in 2006. Unfortunately, they conceded twice in the final to Barcelona.
* Arsenal could become the 4th English club to win the Premier League and the Champions League in the same season after Liverpool (1976/77, 1983/84), Manchester United (1998/99, 2007/08) and Manchester City (2022/23).
It could be a special night for one Arsenal star in particular
--------------------------------------------------------------
Myles Lewis-Skelly could become only the second English teenager, after Jude Bellingham, to reach 20 Champions League appearances.
Considering that the 19-year-old has started four of the last five games in all competitions, there is a chance of him being named in the starting lineup in Budapest.
It would be some turnaround for Lewis-Skelly, who had struggled for game time this campaign. There had even been speculation that he could be sold this summer, but Arteta seems to have found a place for him in midfield.
