Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has a long-running personal rivalry with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, with the two clashing on a number of occasions on the pitch.
The feud kicked into overdrive during the 2024/25 campaign, when both players scored in a 2-2 draw.
Haaland celebrated City’s late equaliser by throwing the ball at Gabriel’s head, and Gabriel responded in a post-match interview by saying Arsenal were ‘waiting’ for City at the Emirates.
The defender could then be seen celebrating in Haaland’s face in the Gunners’ subsequent 5-1 win.

The pair came to blows again this season, as the protagonists of a late scrap in Manchester City’s 2-1 win over the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland certainly enjoyed the victory, singing “oh, sometimes, I get a get a good feeling” to the cameras, from Flo Rida’s 2011 song Good Feeling.
Gabriel has now had his revenge, sharing a picture of himself on TikTok holding the Premier League trophy with Good Feeling playing in the background.

It’s unlikely this particular duel is quite done yet, with Haaland and Gabriel both likely to remain with their respective clubs for next season. This is just the latest chapter in the saga.
