The Premier League season has finished. Teams from England’s top division can now look back upon their achievements from the last year – or, in some cases, they can begin to pick up the pieces.
Today, we’ll grade the performance of every Premier League club during the 2025/26 season, We’ll be grading their performances from A to F – who was top of the class?
Arsenal – A
We’ll start at the top – Arsenal and Mikel Arteta rightfully received high praise for their title-winning campaign. With a Champions League final also on the horizon, we can only give the Gunners an A grade for this season.
Arteta has turned Arsenal into a force to be reckoned with. They’ve taken some criticism for being ‘boring’ – but we doubt their fans will care too much about this.
Aston Villa – A
Aston Villa just scrape an A grade in our eyes. We considere giving the Villans a B, but their top-four finish and Europa League triumph swung the pendulum in their favour.
They have had some poor results this season, 11 in the Premier League in total, but their peaks have higher than their valleys have been deep.
Bournemouth – A
Andoni Iraola has led a magical campaign at Bournemouth this season. Once a perennial League One/League Two team, the Cherries will be playing in the Europa League next season after finishing sixth in the Premier League table. In doing so, they finished above giants such as Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Even upon losing their star player in the January transfer window, Antoine Semenyo, Bournemouth did not miss a beat. If anything, they improved in his absence – they haven’t lost in the Premier League since January 3rd.
Brentford – B
Everyone expected Brentford to be fighting relegation throughout the season, following the departure of Thomas Frank, but Keith Andrews has consistently defied expectations to guide the Bees to a very respectable top-half finish.
Missing out on a spot in the Europa Conference League by a tiny margin on goal difference, Brentford will be getting a B (Bee?) grade from us.
