Chelsea are looking to convince star striker Joao Pedro to remain at the club this summer, and are considering a signing who he has always wanted to play with.
It is no surprise there is serious interest in Joao Pedro after his excellent first season as a Chelsea player, despite their underwhelming league finish.

Chelsea keen on signing Bruno Guimaraes
As far as other sides are concerned though, Chelsea see Pedro as untouchable this summer, but may look to push to make signings which would further appease him.
With the Blues potentially in the market for a new midfielder this season, they have been linked with the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle.

The Brazilian boasts a strong Premier League goalscoring record, and would see a number of familiar faces at Stamford Bridge from his time on international duty.
Andrey Santos, Estevao Willian, and Pedro have all been in Brazil squads with the midfielder, although the Newcastle man will be the only one who is at the World Cup.
Chelsea have discussed a potential swap deal involving the likes of Liam Delap to get him over the line, with it said that the two clubs have a strong relationship.

Joao Pedro wants to play alongside Bruno Guimaraes
This is despite Chelsea beating Newcastle to Pedro’s signature 12 months ago, where it was said by The Chronicle that the forward was keen to play alongside Guimaraes.
The prospect of them finally featuring together on a regular basis could occur at Stamford Bridge, and may play a strong part in convincing Pedro to remain at the club.
With Xabi Alonso coming in, the Spaniard needs some big names to help kick off his era in charge, with Pedro firmly at the top of that list.
