Chelsea have every intention of keeping Joao Pedro this summer, and it’ll be very difficult for Barcelona to sign him according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues only signed Pedro last summer from Brighton in a deal worth up to £60m, and he hit the ground running in his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
Pedro scored 20 goals in competitions, with 15 of those coming in the Premier League, but Chelsea endured another difficult season as they finished tenth.

Despite his form, Pedro was surprisingly left out of the Brazil squad for World Cup by former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.
However, his form hasn’t gone unnoticed, and Spanish champions Barcelona have shown interest in Pedro as they look for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Pedro is said to be happy at Stamford Bridge, and Romano has now provided an update on Barcelona’s pursuit of the Brazilian.
“Deco returned from England, on a mission to discuss several things,” he told his YouTube channel.
“At the moment Chelsea’s stance remains ‘we want to keep Joao Pedro’. He’s an important part of the project.
“After the season Chelsea had, you can imagine the intention is to keep him.
“Chelsea have every intention of keeping Joao Pedro. It’s going to be difficult for Barcelona to break this wall for him.”
The Blues face a critical summer, and with no European football at all they could find it difficult to keep hold of all their top stars.
New manager Xabi Alonso has a big job on his hands, and reportedly only wants players who are fully committed to Chelsea.
