Former Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has enjoyed great success since leaving the club last summer, and admitted it was an easy decision to leave the Blues last summer.
Madueke had been forced to put up with semi-regular starts at Stamford Bridge for a number of seasons, rotating with the likes of Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho.
This saw the winger decide to depart the Chelsea camp before they secured victory at the Club World Cup, joining Arsenal for a decent transfer fee.

Noni Madueke sends another dig at Chelsea
Joe Cole still hasn’t got over Chelsea’s decision to sell Madueke, who has now become a Premier League winner in North London.
He is currently preparing for the Champions League final, and was asked by DailyAFC if he could ever imagine things working out so well so quickly.
The winger simply replied: “I did, that’s why I came so quickly from where I was.”

It wasn’t Madueke’s best season in terms of output. He ended up going a whole year without a Premier League goal, and spent the majority of the season deputising for Bukayo Saka.
While he was winning the big trophy though, Chelsea’s wingers greatly struggled throughout the 2025/26 season.
Both Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens failed to live up to the hype after their summer signings.

Madueke rewarded for Arsenal move
Thomas Tuchel made a number of controversial calls when he was making the final decisions on who will represent England at the World Cup.
Reece James was the only Chelsea inclusion, with Cole Palmer the notable name who missed out.
In his place, Madueke made the squad, with Tuchel admitting the brilliance of his club this season forced his hand.
Wayne Rooney didn’t agree with the decision, although it has proven that making the move can be a real benefit to his own career.
