2 sources state Tottenham and Chelsea battling for same signing – Developments expected

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are both keen on signing Trabzonspor’s Christ Inao Oulaï in the summer.

The Blues interest isn’t new as Sport Witness relayed news in January of their failed effort to sign the 20-year-old.

At that time, Chelsea made an offer that didn’t meet the Turkish club’s demand.

The Premier League side are back in the mix and other clubs, including Tottenham, join them in the battle.

Turkish sources on Tottenham and Chelsea

Fotomaç has a report on Christ Inao Oulaï, and the interest from the two London clubs.

They state both Spurs and the Club World Cup winners, along with Benfica, are keen on signing the midfielder.

Trabzonspor seem to be open to sanctioning a move in the summer if the suitors were to meet their €35m asking price.

Günebakış, an outlet local to the Süper Lig side, covers Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea wanting the Ivory Coast international. Their title mentions a big transfer race for him.

The Premier League duo already sent their scouts to closely monitor the youngster. The reports obtained would have convinced them to show keen interest in the player.

With the two English clubs and Benfica keen, his club are expecting to collect a high transfer fee and have set a €35m price. The report further adds developments around the player’s future in the upcoming window.

However, Günebakış doesn’t specify or even indicate/suggest that whether Roberto De Zerbi’s side and/or the Stamford Bridge club plan to make further advances.

The two sources also make no mention of Oulaï’s preference between Tottenham, Chelsea and the Portuguese club.
