Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Barcelona have Levante UD’s Karl Etta Eyong
on their radar.
In August 2025, Sport Witness covered claims from Spain of Everton facing competition from Barcelona to sign the striker. A move never took shape last summer, and the Toffees maintain interest in him.
Tottenham join their Premier League rivals and other clubs in chasing the 22-year-old.
Last November, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal reportedly showed interest.
At that time, Levante CEO José Danvila insisted his side will only analyse the star’s sale after the season.
Striker in Tottenham and Everton’s sights
Fast forward to May and Tuesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo mention Spurs and David Moyes’ side when discussing the latest on Karl Etta Eyong.
The Cameroon international had a good start to the season, scoring six goals in the first 10 matches. That caught Barcelona’s attention, and he has always dreamed of making a Camp Nou switch.
However, it’s not clear whether Hansi Flick’s side are still keen as recent reports indicate their focus is elsewhere.
Eyong remains hopeful of joining Barcelona as their second-choice striker, following Robert Lewandowski’s exit.
Since the end of October, he managed a goal and an assist in the league and finished his tally with seven goals and four assists from 34 matches.
The poor run doesn’t stop the player from having a desire to leave the La Liga side in the summer. Levante UD seem to be in favour of his sale and set a price of €25m excluding bonuses.
Several clubs are keen on signing him and from the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have set their sights on him. VfB Stuttgart are also in the picture.
Eyong won’t make a decision without finding out whether Barcelona want to sign him.
Contract, value and agent info
The Cameroonian has a contract until 2029, and Transfermarkt value him at €18m.
Karl Etta Eyong is represented by agency Genesia Consulting International.
