Arsenal fans can expect "something special" as the latest update has been given on redevelopment plans for the Emirates Stadium. Plans first emerged back in October , with plans to make the stadium the biggest Premier League ground in London.

Latest reports suggest that Arsenal are in talks with the architects behind the original design for the Emirates Stadium . Any work could mean a temporary move away from the ground, with Wembley Stadium named as an option.

North London rivals Tottenham used Wembley as a temporary home in the 2017/18 season, in between them playing at White Hart Lane and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Arsenal are Premier League champions and fans can celebrate the historic achievement by securing the new 2026/27 home kit with 'Champions 26' printing.

Arsenal have now given the latest on plans. Chief executive officer Richard Garlick told The Overlap: "There is always ambition about growing the club in every which way we can.

"Facilities, whether it's at the stadium, training ground, whether it's supporters around the world - we have plans.

"We have been looking at these for a while now and looking at the options, it is 20 years since we moved to the Emirates and it feels a good time to assess what we can do and how we might go about things."

Co-Chairman Josh Kroenke added: "It is a beautiful stadium.

"We have SoFi Stadium and we are going to be working on best practices to try to bring over here and really give the Arsenal supporters something special as well."

But it has since been overtaken by Spurs’ ground (62,850) and West Ham United’s London Stadium (62,500). Arsenal currently boast the fifth-largest ground in the Premier League.

The plans could potentially be accelerated following Arsenal’s Premier League win, with ambitions to make lifting the trophy a regular occurrence. They got their hands on the trophy for the first time in 22-years on Sunday.

The Gunners are looking to add to the success of this season by lifting the Champions League, Mikel Arteta’s side take on PSG at the Puskas Arena on Saturday evening (5pm kick-off).
