Arsenal man’s agents offering him around–Seeking better deal for Gunners and player

Arsenal are hoping that other clubs will enter the market for Fábio Vieira this summer, as HSV Hamburg don’t intend to use a €22m option to buy him permanently.

Sport BILD cover the 25-year-old today and how HSV’s hopes of keeping the Arsenal midfielder permanently are dwindling.

Arsenal demands too high

The newspaper explains that the club’s new sporting director, Kathleen Krüger, is already working behind the scenes. There is no plan for a major overhaul of the squad at this moment in time.

HSV want to keep Fábio Vieira this summer following a successful loan spell from Arsenal this season. The midfielder also feels comfortable in Hamburg.

But the reality is that the German side will not exercise the €22m purchase option they negotiated with Arsenal last summer. The Gunners have not offered Hamburg a price to let him go for less.

They are instead hoping that another club will offer more for Vieira before the transfer window closes on August 31st. Work is being done behind the scenes to drum up interest from the rest of the Bundesliga.

Agency offer him around

His agency, Gestifute, are offering him to Bundesliga clubs. They’re specifically targeting clubs like Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart who are competing in European competition. He could earn more at those types of clubs, further complicating matters for Stuttgart.

At this moment in time, it is seemingly unlikely that the midfielder will return to the club this summer, despite a desire by both parties to make it happen.

The likelihood are that the situation will drag out throughout the summer. If Arsenal can’t find other suitors willing to pay their demands, then they may return to Stuttgart late in the window.

But for now, it appears that his agents are working to draw up interest in the Bundesliga, in the hope of getting a better deal for Arsenal and Vieira.
