Chelsea Would Want A Combined£325M If Clubs Try To Poach 4 First Team Players This Summer

Chelsea are not going to let their star players leave on the cheap this summer, according to reports in the English media.

Writing in the Chelsea Files for The Sun newspaper, journalists Dan King and Lloyd Canfield have listed the potential asking prices for Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella.

All four have been linked with other clubs over the past few days. Palmer has been tipped for a return to Manchester City.

Barcelona are pushing hard to recruit Pedro, and Fernandez has interest from Real Madrid, City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, are expected to make a move for Cucurella, if recent claims from Spain are to be believed.

How much do Chelsea want?

It should be emphasised that there is no guarantee that the Blues will sell any of these players.

However, it is believed the starting point for negotiations for Palmer would be £80m, while Pedro and Fernandez would cost £100m each as a bare minimum.

With Cucurella having two years left on his contract, his book value is only £20m, but the Blues would want around £45m for the left-back.

Cucurella and Fernandez are the likeliest to leave

All the noises coming out from the club suggest that Pedro and Palmer are NOT for sale. Barca have made a concerted effort to unsettle the former, having sent a delegation to London to begin talks for the Brazilian international (along with Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon). However, it appears they have returned to Spain empty-handed.

Pedro himself is said to be happy in London, so there should be not pressure from the player side to force through a move. Palmer has also not indicated to the club that he wants to leave.

Things are different with Cucurella and Fernandez. The Spanish left-back’s contract situation means a sale this summer is on the cards. Fernandez also seems to be hell-bent on securing an exit.
