Filip Jorgensen is reportedly pushing to leave Chelsea this summer after growing frustrated over his lack of regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge.
The Denmark international is understood to have informed Chelsea that he wants a move in search of a guaranteed starting role elsewhere ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Chelsea are also believed to be open to selling the 24-year-old if suitable offers arrive during the transfer window.
Jorgensen joined Chelsea from Villarreal in the summer of 2024 for a fee worth around €24.5m, but he has struggled to establish himself as the club’s long-term number one.
The goalkeeper largely operated as backup to Robert Sanchez across the last two campaigns despite being signed to compete directly with the Spaniard.
Jorgensen made 34 appearances in all competitions during his time at Chelsea, although more of those outings came in the Conference League than in the Premier League.
His opportunities in domestic competition remained limited and several high-profile mistakes also damaged his hopes of becoming the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
One of the most notable moments came during Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain when a misplaced pass from Jorgensen gifted a goal to Bradley Barcola at the Parc des Princes.
Chelsea are not expected to enter the market for another goalkeeper if Jorgensen departs.
Instead, the club plan to promote highly-rated Belgian goalkeeper Mike Penders into the senior squad ahead of next season.
Penders, who spent last season on loan at Strasbourg, is viewed internally as one of the brightest young goalkeepers in Europe and is expected to compete with Sanchez for the number one spot under incoming head coach Xabi Alonso.

Chelsea’s willingness to sanction Jorgensen’s departure also reflects their confidence in Penders’ long-term potential.
The Dane is still expected to attract interest from clubs across England and Europe due to his age and experience at both Premier League and European level.
A permanent transfer currently appears the most likely outcome, with Chelsea prepared to negotiate on favourable terms to facilitate a deal.
The club are also continuing work on reshaping the squad this summer following Alonso’s arrival after the club failed to qualify for Europe next season.
For Jorgensen, the priority now appears to be finding a club where he can finally secure consistent first-team opportunities after a difficult spell in west London.
