Axel Disasi has officially bidden an emotional farewell to West Ham following a difficult season, clearing the path for his anticipated next chapter with a return to Chelsea.
Axel Disasi’s season took a dramatic turn after finding himself frozen out of Chelsea‘s first-team plans under Enzo Maresca. Banished to the club’s infamous bomb squad and desperate for minutes, the French international finally secured a deadline-day loan move to West Ham United.
Disasi quickly became a standout in the Hammers’ defensive unit under Nuno Espirito Santo, starting all 14 possible Premier League matches following his arrival.
Ultimately, his personal efforts weren’t quite enough to save West Ham from a painful relegation to the Championship, but he did manage to get his career completely back on track.
Chelsea made a mistake getting rid of Noni Madueke! Do you agree?😠
Axel Disasi says goodbye to West Ham
Ahead of his return to Chelsea, Axel Disasi has wished West Ham United the best on his Instagram, but failed to give away his current thoughts on his immediate future.
“From day one, you welcomed me as one of your own and gave me your trust, especially during a difficult period in my career. I always tried to give everything of myself every time I wore this shirt, despite the difficult outcome for all of us this season.
“I will always be grateful for the support, the people I met and the moments shared together.
“I wish the club, the fans and everyone around West Ham nothing but the very best for the future. I truly hope the club comes back stronger and competing where it deserves to be.”

The damage is done for Axel Disasi
Chelsea’s treatment of Axel Disasi has severely fractured their relationship with the French defender, making a return to Stamford Bridge highly unlikely.
Despite holding a contract until 2029, Disasi will no doubt feel deeply alienated by the club’s cutthroat management and the way he was discarded on deadline day.
Having rebuilt his confidence and reputation under Nuno Espirito Santo at West Ham, he will have no desire to return to a toxic environment where he was so undervalued.
