FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 28 May, including the latest updates on Cole Palmer, Anthony Gordon and Pedro Porro.

Chelsea exodus

Chelsea are faced with a potential mass exodus following their failure to qualify for Europe. The Blues will try to keep their squad together, but incoming manager Xabi Alonso will face a tough challenge trying to convince the club's disgruntled players to stay.

Ben Jacobs states that Enzo Fernandez "wants to leave" Chelsea, and that his agent is already in contact with Real Madrid. The Argentine is no longer engaging in contract talks with the Blues. Chelsea want a club-record €138m fee for Fernandez.

Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has also requested to leave, as per the BBC. The Dane already wanted out in January, and his desire has not changed. He wants regular minutes and faces the prospect of being relegated to third choice if he stays at Stamford Bridge.

There is even a "possibility" of Cole Palmer moving on, despite Chelsea's not-for-sale stance, talkSPORT reports. Man City are interested in re-signing their former academy prospect, and it has been claimed in recent months that Palmer is keen to return to Manchester.

Gordon on his way to Barca

Barcelona are closing in on the signing of Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon after a strong push over the past 48 hours.

The England star has replaced Julian Alvarez, Joao Pedro and Marcus Rashford as the club's primary attacking target. Discussions with Newcastle are progressing fast, with Barcelona keen to wrap this deal up before the end of the week, Fabrizio Romano writes.

Barcelona agreed personal terms with Gordon on a five-year contract on Wednesday and then submitted an €80m bid plus bonuses for the 25-year-old. An agreement in principle is in place with Newcastle, with Gordon set for a medical this week.

Man City want to re-sign Porro

Man City are exploring a deal to re-sign Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro, according to AS.

The Spain international initially joined Man City from City Football Group sister club Girona in 2019, but he never made a competitive appearance for the Premier League giants. He then moved to Spurs via Sporting CP.

Now, City are in the market for a right-back and are targeting Porro. Tottenham reportedly want more than €50m for the 26-year-old. Contract talks have so far proved unsuccessful, making a departure possible.

Juventus pivot to Mamardashvili

Juventus could look to loan Giorgi Mamardashvili after being told by Liverpool that Alisson is not for sale, Gazzetta dello Sport claims.

The Bianconeri are in the market for a new goalkeeper and made Alisson their top target. The Brazilian was keen on a return to Serie A after his Roma spell and was offered an attractive contract. However, Liverpool decided that they want to keep him, with his current deal running until 2027.

Juventus are now exploring different alternatives, and it is stated that Liverpool could loan out Mamardashvili if they really do end up keeping Alisson. The Georgia international could be a "low-cost" option for Juventus.

City eye Nubel

Another option for Juventus is Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nubel, who is also being eyed by Man City, as per BILD.

With Manuel Neuer having extended his contract, Nubel will be sold by Bayern this summer, having spent the past three years on loan at Stuttgart. A Bundesliga stay is currently believed to be unlikely due to his hefty wages.

Man City are exploring the goalkeeper market because they need to replace James Trafford, who is expected to leave the club again this summer. They are also interested in re-signing Pierce Charles from Sheffield Wednesday.
