Arsenal have outlined what they expect to receive if Gabriel Jesus is to be sold this summer – with the Brazil international forward not allowed to depart on the cheap.
Jesus has a year left to run on his contract at the Emirates meaning that he could depart as a free agent next summer.
This possibility does not seem to concern the Premier League champions at present, with transfer insider David Ornstein writing for The Athletic that Arsenal are targeting a deal in the region of €20-23 million (£18-20m) if they are to sell the 29-year-old this summer.
Arsenal set €20m asking price for Gabriel Jesus
Gabriel Jesus’ status at the Emirates Stadium has gradually eroded since he arrived as a game-changing signing for Arsenal in 2022 from Manchester City. His arrival was a statement of intent from Mikel Arteta’s side that they were serious about challenging for the Premier League title.
He was challenged first by Kai Havertz and then, after suffering a serious knee injury, by Viktor Gyokeres, who joined last summer from Sporting CP.
Over the course of the 2026/27 season, he scored six goals in 27 appearances, albeit only nine starts.

Does he want to leave?
Jesus has previously spoken of his contentment in North London, suggesting that he is not in a hurry to depart Arsenal.
He told The Players’ Tribune: “People have asked ‘Why don’t you just leave? Why don’t you go to Saudi? Or back home to Brazil?’
“One day, I would love for everything to come full circle with Palmeiras, but not today. I feel that I have unfinished business at Arsenal. I don’t want to leave.”
The Brazil striker added: “I am here to make history.”
It remains to be seen whether that desire to ‘make history’ has been satisfied by helping Arsenal to the Premier League title – and possible the Champions League, in which they meet PSG on Saturday.
