Jack Grealish sends clear message over Everton future

Jack Grealish spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Everton.

The winger was forced out of action in January with a foot injury.

Sent Evertonians a promising message amid rumours of a return to City.

Jack Grealish was one of Everton’s standout players of the 2025-26 campaign.

After arriving from Manchester City on loan, he hit the ground running and was named the Premier League’s August Player of the Month.

But his foot injury in January ruled the winger out of action for the remainder of the season, which proved to be a huge blow for the Toffees.

Grealish may reportedly be offered an opportunity to stay at City, but the 30-year-old has hinted at a return to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Jack Grealish thanks Evertonians on Instagram

During his recovery, the ex-Aston Villa skipper has shown vocal support for Everton on his social channels.

In a recent post on Instagram, the England international uploaded a montage of highlights from last season and sent a message to his supporters.

He said: “Grateful for the first half of the season.

“Can’t wait to be back playing.”

The 30-year-old chose to remain on Merseyside in the aftermath of his injury and has remained close with David Moyes’ team.

As Pep Guardiola ends his fine spell at the Etihad Stadium, the door has opened for a potential Grealish return, but his vocal love for the Toffees could see him remain at Everton.

Jack Grealish and Everton are made for each other

Grealish’s Instagram post highlights how much he has enjoyed his time at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

He has become a player reborn and has found his swagger on a football pitch once again.

Similar to his peak years at Villa, the winger has led Everton’s attack with flair and confidence.

This role is one that Grealish needs to excel in, as when he can control the tempo, his teammates respond to this with confidence of their own.

The Toffees sorely missed the winger in the second half of the season, with Moyes’ men struggling to find someone who could harness the elements of a flowing football game.

It is clear that Grealish enjoys this responsibility, and at Everton, he is given the freedom to do so.

But should he return to City, he may find himself back on the bench and forgotten.

Some Evertonians will be sat nervous, wondering if one of their star men will return, however, the signs are getting more promising by the week.
