The winger is reportedly on the verge of leaving Newcastle United
Former Preston North End loan man Anthony Gordon is reportedly on his way to Barcelona.

According to reports, the Newcastle United man has flown to Catalonia to complete a £69million transfer. Gordon was signed by the Magpies in January 2023, for a reported £45m from Everton - who will receive 15 per cent of profit Newcastle make via a sale.
In total, the wide man scored 39 goals and assisted 28 across 152 appearances for the St James’ Park outfit. BBC Sport statethat Gordon will finalise his move before linking up with England in the United States, for the Three Lions’ pre-World Cup camp.

Bayern Munich had also been credited with interest in Gordon, who was an unused substitute in the final four games of the Premier League season. Last year, the 25-year-old scored six top flight goals but 10 in the Champions League - including one against Barcelona.
It was January 2021 when Preston signed Gordon on loan from the Toffees. He came very close to scoring across his 11 outings for the Lilywhites, but never found the net. On the back of that spell, he went and made 40 appearances for Everton’s first team the year after.
