Anthony Gordon is expected to fly to Barcelona today ahead of completing a move from Newcastle United.
Sport report that the various parties are already ‘reviewing the contract’ before he signs for the Catalan giants.

The Spanish newspaper provide video footage today of lawyer Ángel Juárez and the head of the legal department at Unique Sports, Anthony Gordon’s agency, in Barcelona.
According to their information, they are already reviewing the contracts on his proposed €70m move from Newcastle United.
They add that the 25-year-old is boarding a plan this morning and is expected to land in Barcelona around midday. The move for him has progressed rapidly over the past 48 hours.
Sport Witness covered a report yesterday explaining that Barcelona were confident over a €70m deal being done quickly with Newcastle. That then proved to be the case. Various reports in England insisted the move was happening, and a rapid pace.

Sport Witness then covered a report this morning explaining that Barcelona president Joan Laporta had been talking up the deal at a dinner on Wednesday. That report explained that Gordon wanted the deal sorted before the World Cup started.
Now he appears to be getting his wish. With the lawyers on site in Barcelona and working on reviewing documents, it appears everyone involved is keen to get the transfer finalised as soon as possible.
The next step will be for Anthony Gordon to arrive in Barcelona, undergo a medical and complete the move to the Camp Nou. There does not appear to be any obstacles in the way of that for the time being.
Then Newcastle can start to focus on a potential replacement. Given Gordon’s importance this season, that will not be an easy task by any means. But with €70m to spend, their options won’t be limited either.
