Zohran Mamdani predicts PSG vs Arsenal in the Champions League final.
Mamdani names Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as threats.
How PSG fans view Arsenal.
Zohran Mamdani, the Mayor of New York City is widely known for being a passionate Arsenal fan and naturally, he would be desperate to witness his side beat PSG in the Champions League final.
When Arsenal meet PSG, it would take a herculean effort for the English giants to trounce them on Saturday, considering Luis Enrique and Co look like the best team in the world once again this term.
However, it would be a fool’s errand to doubt Mikel Arteta’s side, who are in high spirits after being crowned Premier League champions recently.
Many Gunners supporters like Theo Walcott believe Arsenal will overcome PSG and they have every reason to, considering last season’s two-legged semi-final tie proved to be quite close games.
Zohran Mamdani predicts Arsenal to beat PSG 2-1 in the Champions League final
Zohran Mamdani believes Arsenal will beat PSG 3-2 in the Champions League final but did not come across as overly confident as he is seemingly aware of how outstanding the French side is.
The 34-year-old said via CBS Sports: “I’m praying for a 3-2. I’m praying.”
Zohran Mamdani went on to admit that he hopes the injured Jurrien Timber returns to full fitness against PSG while naming Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as two players Arsenal must tame.
Mamdani said: “We just have to handle Dembele, Kvaradona, I’m praying that Timber’s healthy but I feel good.”
How PSG fans view Arsenal as a team
Zohran Mamdani believes that Arsenal and PSG will play out a tightly-contested game, considering the quality of both sides. With Arsenal being underdogs against PSG, it is difficult to see Mikel Arteta’s side demolish them in the Hungarian capital.
However, PSG fans are confident about beating Arsenal to the point where Emmanuel Petit feels they are taking his former side lightly.
Petit does admit that the Ligue 1 winners are the better out of the two teams though.
When you hear the sports shows on football or on radio, newspapers, everybody that loves football and that likes Paris Saint-Germain, for me, it is a little too much confidence. They have the feeling that they are much better than Arsenal.
“If you look at the communication, of course, they won’t say it. But the internal communication, you can hear something different that as individuals and collectives, the team is much better than Arsenal. And I can agree until a certain limit.”
