‘Waiting for offer’ – Chelsea player wants to join specific club, already said yes for transfer

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen is waiting to join Beşiktaş, after a failed move in the winter market.

The Denmark international joined the Blues from Villarreal in 2024 and has been a backup for Robert Sánchez since then.

He played 36 matches for Chelsea, keeping 11 clean sheets and conceding 39 goals and only 11 were in the Premier League.

This season, the stopper played 963 minutes from 12 matches, keeping one clean sheet and conceding 17 goals.

In February, Sport Witness covered claims from Turkey that the Blues refused to sanction a move in the last window.

Dane wants to leave Chelsea

The 24-year-old is unhappy with the limited role and decided to leave the Premier League side in the summer.

That’s according to Sabah, and their title say: ‘Filip Jörgensen is waiting for Beşiktaş’.

Within the report, the newspaper points out the player had ‘already said yes’ to the Black Eagles in January. However, the move didn’t go through because former Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior blocked his exit.

The Dane has informed the west London club of his intention to leave. His still maintains the desire to join the Istanbul club and is ‘waiting for an offer’ from them.

Beşiktaş plan to sit down for talks with both the Dane’s representatives and Chelsea.

Takvim also report the Süper Lig side have Jörgensen on their agenda for the upcoming window. In addition to him, Arsenal goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is also on their list.

Ersin Destanoğlu, Devis Vásquez, Emre Bilgin and Emir Yaşar were the four stoppers at Beşiktaş this season.

The latter two didn’t make an appearance while Destanoğlu was the No.1. Vásquez, who arrived on loan with an option to buy from AS Roma in February, played one match.

Destanoğlu’s contract expires in June and Takvim state Beşiktaş aim to make a foreigner as their new No.1 next season.
