The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to ramp up their efforts to add to Hansi Flick’s star-studded squad with a view to next season.
This comes amid confirmation that the Blaugrana will soon submit an official offer for Atlético Madrid standout Julián Álvarez.
The activity in the Camp Nou boardroom has of course dominated the media headlines in Spain over the last 48 hours, after Deco and co. exploded into action with a move for Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon.
The Englishman has since touched down in Catalunya’s capital, ahead of completing a transfer with the potential to rise to €80 million.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the press on Thursday is anything to go by, then Barcelona are far from finished there…
As per a report from market expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Barcelona are preparing first official bid for Julián Álvarez, to be sent soon — and without any players included.’
Argentine international Álvarez, it is added, has already made clear to the Atlético Madrid hierarchy that his plan is to move on this summer.
