"I want to go, let me leave': What £66m star will have to say to force Liverpool exit

**Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool will keep Alisson Becker for one more year unless the Brazilian defies his character to force a move to Juventus this summer.**

Reporting via [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sguzdPn4neg), Romano states that the club has made the decision to trigger the automatic one-year renewal clause in Alisson’s contract, so the former AS Roma star will now be staying at Anfield.

The only way for him to join Juventus this summer is to make a formal request to leave the club, but it would be highly irregular, based on everything we know about Alisson, for him to make such a request.

_“The situation is now being clarified because Liverpool, in the last 24 hours, have informed Alisson officially, and those close to him, that they don’t want him to go,”_ Romano said.

_“So, at the moment, the deal is completely off with Juventus. It’s still early, it’s still the end of May, there are three months. I don’t know if Alisson can one day show up at the training ground and say, ‘I want to leave, let me go to Juventus’. But at the moment, that’s not the case; the relationship between Alisson and Liverpool is excellent, so he doesn’t want to damage the legacy he has built._

_“If Alisson stays, then it could eventually be the case that Mamardashvili goes out on loan for one season to play regularly before returning to Liverpool in 2027 as the starting goalkeeper, replacing Alisson. This is something the club has to decide, but at the moment, they are completely focused on stopping this deal for Alisson._

_“They have no intention of letting him go despite him having a big proposal on the table from Juventus.”_

The likely scenario now is for Liverpool to retain Alisson for another year after Giorgi Mamardashvili’s average, but unimpressive first year at the club, with [Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke stating Alisson won’t force an exit](https://live4liverpool.com/journalist-drops-significant-claim-about-alisson-leaving-liverpool-this-summer/).

That said, it’s not the Georgian’s fault, as they fielded a similar average shot on goal per game to the three relegated Premier League teams.

Liverpool need to improve defensively and in midfield next season to give either Alisson or Mamardashvili a chance to perform.
