Chelsea are prepared to keep a strong core of players for Xabi Alonso’s first season at the club, and there are five individuals who the club will simply not listen to offers for.
Blues supporters are optimistic about what is to come under Alonso after a nightmare season at Stamford Bridge which ended up with a 10th-place finish in the Premier League.
Alonso is bringing an experienced backroom staff with him to West London, although it doesn’t appear as if there is an interest in getting Thiago Silva on board.

The five players Chelsea see as untouchable this summer
It is expected that Chelsea are going to have to sell some players this summer if they want to sign new stars to help bolster the incoming manager’s chances of immediate success.
However, Simon Phillips has reported that the core five of Cole Palmer, Reece James, Moises Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Levi Colwill are those who the club will simply not accept bids for.

He said on his Substack: “Chelsea are not at this point actively looking to sell Sanchez, but as for all of their players bar Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Reece James, Levi Colwill, and Joao Pedro, they would listen to offers.”
The Blues have already faced plenty of interest from Barcelona in the services of Pedro, with director Deco even flying to London to try and agree a deal.
However, Chelsea have been insistent that he is not for sale, forcing the La Liga side to now turn their attention to signing Anthony Gordon.

Enzo Fernandez not named as a Chelsea untouchable
Chelsea fans will have noticed that Enzo Fernandez was not mentioned on the list of players who Chelsea see as untouchable.
It has been reported that Fernandez is pushing to leave the club this season, although the Blues do not plan to let him go cheap.
Florentino Perez has promised Real Madrid fans he will sign Fernandez should he continue as the club president, and the player has made it no secret he has admiration for the city.
Manchester City are also reportedly keen on the World Cup winner, with the potential of rekindling a relationship with former manager Enzo Maresca.
