Ibrahima Konate is reportedly set to LEAVE Liverpool after failing to agree a new contract. Konate, 27, is nearing the exit of his current deal with expires on June 30.
His representatives were deep into talks with the Liverpool hierarchy over a renewal but the defender will now depart as a free agent, Talksport report. Konate enjoyed five trophy-laden years at Anfield, having joined the Reds from German side RB Leipzig in 2021 for £36million.
The Frenchman will join fellow Liverpool stalwarts Mo Salah and Andy Robertson in leaving the club this summer. Prior to the end of the season, Konate indicated that he was close to signing a new contract and stated that he wanted to remain on Merseyside.
