Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is expected to remain at Liverpool next season despite ongoing interest from Juventus. The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Serie A, but Liverpool are determined to keep him at Anfield.

Speculation over his future grew after the Premier League season ended, particularly following his return from injury against Brentford, which led to suggestions it could have been his final appearance.

The decision to trigger a contract extension earlier this year reinforced their intention to keep him as part of the squad. While Juventus are reportedly prepared to offer a longer contract, Liverpool’s stance remains firm.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have blocked any potential exit for Alisson this summer, with the club’s final decision being for the goalkeeper to stay at Anfield.

Romano posted on his Instagram page: “Liverpool blocked Alisson exit this summer with their final plan for goalkeeper to stay.

“Juventus had offered a longer contract to Alisson valid for a three year project… but Liverpool told Ali they count on him.

“Formal communication also made to the GK and his camp as Mamardashvili exit on loan could be considered this summer. Unless there’s a twist or his position changes, Alisson stays.”

Any potential move would likely depend on the player pushing for an exit, with no indication so far that he is considering leaving or that the club are open to a sale.

Alisson’s return from injury before the end of the campaign further highlighted his importance to the squad, with Liverpool viewing him as a key figure heading into next season.

Attention will now turn to international duty, with Alisson set to join Brazil ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

Strong performances on the international stage are likely to maintain interest from European clubs, but Liverpool are expected to begin the new season with him as their first-choice goalkeeper despite ongoing speculation over a move to Italy.
