Arsenal have made it a priority to tie Mikel Arteta down to a new contract following their title win.
Steve Clarke has signed a new deal to see Scotland through to the 2030 World Cup.
Anthony Gordon is bound for Barcelona ahead of his move from Newcastle.

Arsenal co-owner Josh Kroenke has said tying Mikel Arteta down to a new contract is an “utmost priority” ahead of the club’s Champions League final against Paris St Germain.

Arteta’s current deal expires next year, but talks over an extension have already begun and are likely to be accelerated in the summer.
The 44-year-old Spaniard, manager of the Gunners since 2019, has overseen Arsenal’s first Premier League title in 22 years and he will make it a historic double if his side beat PSG in Saturday’s showpiece in Budapest. Speaking last month, Arteta said he was “fully committed” to Arsenal.
And Kroenke said: “Keeping Mikel around is (an) utmost priority and I think the good news for Arsenal fans worldwide is he’s enjoying the project, he’s enjoying being here and from his time as a player all the way up until now, he’s an Arsenal man through and through.
“When we pivoted from (Arteta’s predecessor) Unai (Emery) and came into Mikel, the conversations were all about culture and reinventing that. And perhaps taking a step back to go forward. And Mikel really embraced that, especially the cultural aspect.”
Scotland commit to Clarke through to 2030
We're delighted to confirm that Steve Clarke, Scotland’s most successful Head Coach of all-time, has signed a new contract to continue in charge beyond this summer’s @FIFAWorldCup.

Scotland’s performance in North America was deemed irrelevant to Steve Clarke’s future as the Scottish Football Association opted for consistency in handing the head coach a new long-term contract.
The 62-year-old has signed up until the end of the 2030 World Cup campaign to end uncertainty over his future.
Clarke has led Scotland to three major tournaments out of four following 10 consecutive qualifying failures – as well as a spell in the UEFA Nations League top tier.
However, some fans were keen to see how Scotland fare against Haiti, Morocco and Brazil in the World Cup after two largely disappointing European Championships which saw the team finish bottom of their group with one point each time.
“That’s a very short-term view,” SFA chief executive Ian Maxwell said. “He’s our most successful manager. He’s qualified for three tournaments out of four.
“We’re not going to make a decision on the manager based on how the World Cup does or doesn’t go. That’s never the way we’ve done it. We’ve always taken a balanced, long-term view.
“When you look at the squad, there will be one or two that perhaps don’t play many more games after this World Cup, there’s going to be a bit of transition.”

Captain Nathan Collins headed the Republic of Ireland to a 1-0 friendly victory over World Cup-bound Qatar as both sides were reduced to 10 men.
Collins ensured Ireland got the better of a side managed by his former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui with an early header, although just how the evening might have panned out had Jack Moylan not been dismissed as half-time approached, a sparse crowd inside the Aviva Stadium will never know.
Heimir Hallgrimsson’s side, whose hopes of making it to the World Cup finals were dashed in heartbreaking fashion in March when they lost their play-off semi-final in the Czech Republic on penalties, were in complete control until Moylan’s premature exit, although Qatar substitute Almoez Ali suffered the same fate 12 minutes from time.
The game was played out against the backdrop on ongoing unease at the forthcoming Nations League clashes with Israel, and play was interrupted on several occasions during the first half as Stop the Game protesters among a crowd of 28,981 repeatedly hurled tennis balls on to the pitch.

England forward Anthony Gordon is travelling to Spain as he closes in on a £69million move from Newcastle to Barcelona.
Gordon is heading to Catalonia to undergo a medical after the two clubs agreed on a fee for the 25-year-old.
The Press Association understands the Spanish champions have agreed to pay the Magpies in excess of 80 million euros – around £69.3m – to sign a player they faced in the Champions League this season.
Gordon had also attracted attention from Bayern Munich and a host of other suitors, and Newcastle will have been keen to act quickly after the frustration of last summer and Alexander Isak’s protracted move to Liverpool.
The deal will also see the Magpies boost their coffers with a significant profit on the £45m they paid Everton in January 2023 at a time when they are looking to rebuild after a disappointing campaign.
