Pedro and Fernandez were arguably Chelsea’s two best performers in another disappointing season, which saw the Blues finish tenth and miss out on European football.

Fernandez registered 21 goal contributions, with ten of his 15 goals coming in the Premier League, whilst Pedro scored 15 league goals and 20 in all competitions.

Pedro was voted Chelsea’s Player of the Season, and the Brazilian has attracted interest from Spanish champions Barcelona.

Chelsea have made it clear Pedro isn’t available for any price, but the same can’t be said for Fernandez, who wants to leave the club.

The Blues have set an asking price of £120m, with Real Madrid said to be interested, but it’s thought they aren’t prepared to match the valuation.

It seems Pedro and Fernandez will only be team-mates for one season, but the Brazilian was very complementary about his team-mate.

“He doesn’t talk, but the way he pushes you, the way he thinks, he thinks he’s the best. That’s why I like him,” he told Rio Ferdinand Presents.

“His mentality is, ‘I’m the best,’ it doesn’t matter who he’s playing against, he always thinks he’s the best. So, the confidence he has in himself is very good.”
