What Bournemouth have now done to fend off Chelsea’s interest in Alex Scott

Chelsea could have a bit of a revamp in midfield this summer, with Alex Scott potentially coming in.

Chelsea are interested in signing Scott, who could end up replacing either Romeo Lavia or Andrey Santos.

It has been claimed that Chelsea are open to selling both Lavia and Santos when the transfer window opens.

After that Tottenham performance, does Andrey Santos make a Xabi Alonso first XI?🤔

Bournemouth have offered Alex Scott new contract

Bournemouth are not going to let Scott go without a fight. Fabrizio Romano has revealed on X that the Cherries have already offered the 22-year-old a new deal as they look to keep hold of him.

As well as Chelsea, some of the Premier League’s other big clubs have also shown interest in Scott, forcing Bournemouth to act.

He has been a very important player for them this season, missing just one top-flight game.

Scott is not the only Premier League midfielder Chelsea are looking at. Chelsea are also believed to have Bruno Guimaraes on their radar.

A possible move for him could be connected to what happens with Enzo Fernandez, who is keen to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea also want to sign Alex Scott’s teammate

Scott is not the only Bournemouth player Chelsea could make a move for when the transfer window opens.

Chelsea are also interested in Eli Junior Kroupi; however, they could encounter a problem in any potential pursuit of him as well.

It is being reported that Bournemouth’s current stance is that Kroupi is not for sale, which is hardly a surprise. They have just qualified for Europe and he has been one of their best players this season.

They will want the forward to be part of their Europa League campaign next term. In the 2025/26 Premier League season, Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 appearances, which is really impressive for a teenager.

Chelsea fans will want to see more experience come through the door this summer, but they would likely make an exception for someone with Kroupi’s talent.
