Liverpool have reportedly “blocked” an exit for Alisson this summer, with the club having informed the Brazilian’s representatives of their intentions.
Juventus have been widely known to be pushing for Alisson‘s signature this summer, with a £13 million fee mooted ahead of the final year of the 33-year-old’s contract.
It was reported earlier in the week that Alisson is expected to stay beyond the summer, and now transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has doubled down on the assertion.
He writes that Liverpool have “blocked” any exit for the Brazilian, with their “final plan for goalkeeper to stay,” which has been formally communicated to his representatives.
While a caveat of a “twist” or if Alisson‘s “position changes” was included, the 33-year-old has been told that the club are ‘counting on him’ for 2026/27.

Liverpool have extended Alisson‘s stay for only another year, while Juventus have tabled a three-year deal with a “big salary.”
The *Mail*‘s Lewis Steele, meanwhile, reports “Liverpool would not outright block a deal” should Alisson voice a desire to leave, but that the club “will do everything else in their power” not to lose another leader.
It comes after the news that the Reds are expected to part with Ibrahima Konate this summer after all parties were unable to agree to new terms, underlining the significance of retaining Alisson.
What does Alisson stay mean for Giorgi Mamardashvili?

With Giorgi Mamardashvili having arrived under the expectation of taking over from the 33-year-old, he will likely be assessing his options.
And Romano has corroborated reports that the Georgian could be considered for a loan move after he was linked to Juventus, Fiorentina and Inter Milan.
With a transfer fee guaranteed if they were to allow Alisson to leave this summer, Liverpool would likely be sanctioning his exit if they had total belief in Mamardashvili’s qualities.
That they want the Brazilian to stay suggests some uncertainty about the 25-year-old, who made 20 appearances in his debut season, showcasing his shot-saving ability but also his weakness with the ball at his feet.
Should he leave on loan, a new plan for the club’s No. 2 would need to be devised, with Freddie Woodman signed with the intention of acting as the third-choice training ‘keeper.
Vitezslav Jaros is still on the club’s books, but he is still recovering from knee surgery after an impressive loan spell at Ajax.
